It's a brand new year! And in my family, it means a new start to school.
This year is special as Kyra enters P1 this year. I guess I was not that worried as she will be in the same school as Kyle and many of the kinder friends are joining the same school as her.
However, I was worried about her school bag and the weight she has to carry! Yup it scares me whenever I lift Kyle's bag and realise how heavy it is, even when the teacher makes sure the kids leave some books in the class cupboard. But he is a strong and big boy. Kyra is tiny and is still such a baby, how is she going to carry all those books.
Her teacher did reassure me during her orientation that most books will be kept at school, so let's see how that goes.
My baby girl was super excited actually. Just look at her. So grown-up.
Even Abang seems excited about his sister joining the school.
My eyes teared at this. Abang holding his sister's hands, making sure she is ok. Bag must be pink or else cannot go school. Haha.
My beloved daddy helping me to send them. Walking to the school can be tiring, as it is up the hill and under the hot sun, it's worse.
Taking a rest at the canteen before letting her go up. Still cannot let go.
We waited till lunch just to get a glimpse of her! And when we called her to come over, she said,"Mama! I was eating with my friends, you know!" Wow, so no need your Mummy already izit?
After school, she was full of stories to tell me. She can still meet her BFF, Ira during Malay class. Yay! I am so happy that she is happy. Alhamdullilah.
Still cannot believe I am a mom to 2 primary school going children. Blessed.
