Chickpox outbreak!

Kyra started it! She got the virus from school and she had chickenpox thereafter.

Kyle got it next and guess what, I was the unfortunate third party :(

The thing was, both my kids had it easy, they hardly suffered and the outbreak of spots on their bodies was minimal. I was super unlucky and my outbreak was horrible, and I had fever and I was weak throughout the 2 weeks.

The 3 of us were covered in calamine lotion and it was quite funny seeing us all white. Hubby said we look pretty scary in the dark haha.

I am glad it was over, but I hate the remaining scars! Bio-oil, here I come!

Blurry eyes!

Recently we realise that Kyle has been twitching his eyes and reading or looking at stuff real closely.

Luckily he was due for his 6-mth eye check-up at KK and so we managed to get his eyes checked.

Just as I expected, he needed to wear glasses. His degree on each eye was already at 175. Me and hubby expected him to wear glasses at an early age anyway because both of us were myopic at a young age also. Bad genes! And it does not help that he likes to play computer games and watch his favourite cartoons.

So we went to get glasses for him. He chose this Ben10 pair.

Initially he was unhappy and was not willing to wear, especially in school and in front of his friends, but luckily many of his friends have also started wearing glasses just like him.

Now, we just have to make sure his myopia does not get worse and we must continuously emphasise on good eye habits.
