Kyle's Prawning Experience

Kyle has been bugging us to try prawning. We have always bring him for longkang fishing and I think he has grown quite tired of it and wishes to try something new.

Me and hubby are definitely not used to prawning but we decided to give it a try for his sake.

At Bottletree Park, for $15/hr, we can catch as many prawns we like.

However, we did not know that it was so hard to catch a prawn! Haha!

We sat there for what felt like hours before finally at the last minute, Kyle felt something tugging at his line. He excitedly pull up his line and lo and behold there was a big fat prawn! He got so excited till his slipper fell into the pond!!

We were just as happy for him.

Catching just 1 prawn may not mean much especially to adults, but to kids it may mean the whole world to them. Thus it is important that you stoop down to their level, look from their perspective and share their excitement and joy.

Passion for Badminton

Other than soccer, Kyle is becoming more passionate about badminton.

We have been exposing him and Kyra to the game and once he realises that he is getting better at it, the more he likes the game.

We have also been encouraging Kyra to join us and she loves it when we cheer her on during practise session.

Kyle loves the games so much that he is intending to choose it as his CCA in Primary 3 :)

At times, Rae also joins in the fun.

It is always refreshing for me to see them playing outside and practising a healthy lifestyle rather than being at home playing their tablet and computer games.

Great sweaty workout for all of us!

All of us needed a good break anyway and away from work, school, homework and even admittedly away from our facebook, instagram, tablets, phones! Haha!

Went walking around the Twin Towers and shopping of course!

Off to Desaru!

We stayed at Lotus Desaru Resort. Very nice as we stayed in a double storey unit.

As the resort is quite big, we got around using their shuttle trams. Very convenient and the kids love it.

Load of activities to keep us entertained such as water sports and kids telematch etc.

Seafood dinner at sunset by the beach

Most of all, we enjoyed the water park :)
