This year's hari raya was a little subdued as hubby was down with piles. 3rd operation! Yup, his condition kept worsening and he has been on mc since like forever. I really pray that he gets well soon and that the piles does not reoccur. My poor darling.
At least he managed to spend the first raya with us and we went visiting to my in-laws house. He had the operation on the 2nd day and after that me and the kids just followed my parents around. We did not even visit hubby's side.
But the kids remained happy and their enthusiasm cheers me up whenever we go visiting without their daddy. They love meeting their other cousins and young aunties and uncles and they rejoice at getting green packets and eating loads of cookies and sweets and yes drinking coke.

This year we tried to get Kyle to fast for at least half a day during the fasting month. He was very enthusiastic about it but he would many times forget and ate as usual. He would also ask us to wake him up at 5am to sahur but it was so hard to wake him up that I gave up :p Haha and at times after accidentally eating, he would say its ok lah, now I start fasting ok. LOL. Each day during break fast time, he and Kyra would get ready at the dining table and start eating once they hear the prayer on radio :) It's these simple things that makes me smile. Thank YOU for letting us spend one more year of raya with our loved ones.
