Art Attack!!

The kids have been attending children art classes since Feb this year. It's held once a week on Fridays at the Bukit Panjang Community Centre.

Seeing how much they love to draw, colour, paint and anything to do with art, I thought they would certainly enjoy the art classes. And they do!!

It is not those kind of arty-farty art classes where kids come home with an astonising piece ala Van Gogh, the concept is actually simple and basic and it is conducted by an old man. It only cost S$45 per kid for 12 sessions. However, all art items are not provided :(

But still, the kids enjoy the 2 hours of drawing and coloring with mainly crayons and sometimes scissors and glue are needed as well. Parents can also join in and help out with the artwork.

Some of their masterpieces :)

Not bad, right? :)

Football Fever

We recently managed to enrol Kyle in a soccer league. Yes, its a league for kids only from 6-12 years old. We got the information through his kindergarten which was disemminating the pamphlet to all K2 parents.

Hubby was naturally very excited and was very supportive of it. It just cost S$45 for a year inclusive of jersey/shorts and soccer ball.

I am of course very supportive as I rather have him play and run outdoors than sit in front of the computer/TV every day. And I am pleased seeing that he is also happy at the sessions and playing about with other children.

Hubby got him the full gear, jersey/shorts, soccer boots/sock, shin-pad, soccer ball..even cones for training. Talk about obsessive. Not only that, he also is now a parent volunteer at the league. It is held on Saturdays from 4.30pm-6pm at Zhenghua Sec School.

As a result of Daddy's over-enthusiasm.

Kyra is asking for ballet classes...but I am not too sure...hoping for a malay dance club for kids though :)
