Marina Barrage

Sometimes during weekends, my mum would use the car to go to work. But that does not stop us from going out as a family. It is a great experience taking the kids out using public transport. No doubt it is tiring as you have to carry the kids when they are tired. And this is on top of their diaper/milk bag! But it is a worthwhile and an enriching experience for them as they can get up close and personal with what's going on around them, unlike in the car, where they can only see sights zooming past them.

After reading the papers on the opening of the Marina Barrage, we decided to make our way there and see what is the big hoo-haa is about.

Finally! The Marina BarrageYay! We are finally here!

The kids were happy to run about and admire the view. After we had enough of the place, we took the ferry back to the Esplanade and had an early dinner. At the end of the day, the kids were quite tired from walking under the hot sun...so we took a cab back home!
