This year Hari Raya is sort of subdued. Why, you asked? Well, my babies are sick!
Yup on the 1st day of raya, Kyra was down with high fever. We only managed to visit one house (my in-laws) before rushing home. Even after we gave her paracetamol and nurofen, she still had persistent fever, cough and flu. It was really hard for me because I had just started work and could not take leave to take care of her. My mind was only at home while at work. I was also very tired due to her crankiness and sleepless nights while she was having fever.
We took her to KK Children's Emergency Clinic on Friday night as her fever still was very high, up till 39.8degrees. Imagine my shock when the doctor diagnosed her as having pneumonia and bronchitis! She was put on the nebulizar drip and we even had to purchase the asthmatic pump for her. She was nearly warded if not for her fever which finally did subside.
Kyle is also down with cough and has slight fever. Well, it looks like I won't be celebrating Hari Raya as much as last year, I guess. At least not until the two of them get better.
We did, however, get to wear our outfits and took some pictures when we visited my in-laws.
