We recently signed up with the Singapore Zoological Gardens as members. For S$150/year, we get unlimited access to the zoo. You may think that the membership fee is quite high, but tickets to the zoo are not cheap. For adults, it is S$16.50 per ticket and for kids from 3 to 12, it costs S$8.50 per ticket. So for my family, we have to pay S$41.50 each time we visit the zoo as non-members. At the moment, Kyra goes in free-of-charge. Thus, if you think about it, after just 3 visits, we have already break even.
So it is definitely worth to sign up as Friends of the Zoo.
We used to frequent the zoo a lot when my daddy was still working there as a tram/train driver. We would get in free! To me, the zoo is like an open classroom. Kids learn better and gain more knowledge being outdoors and in such close proximity with the animals.
But since he quit to help take care of the kids, there are no more such privleages.

In this picture, Kyle is almost 2. My Daddy is holding Rae.
I kinda miss having him around at the zoo. Whenever we go there, we would get free food and free tram ride also :)
